Lufthansa ESTA for entry in the United States

The airline based in Germany, Lufthansa announced to all its passengers travelling to the United States should mandatory apply online for authorisation at least 72 hours before departure. Moreover Lufthansa proclaimed that ESTA- Electronic System for Travel Authorisation is compulsory to all the passengers travelling to the United States as from now under the visa-free Waiver Program. However all passengers travelling with Lufthansa having a valid visa for the United States do not need ESTA approval. Furthermore passengers flying with Lufthansa who has not received authorisation prior to departure will not have access to the United States.
