CERTIFIED AIRLINE INFORMATION AND OPINIONS : 1593 Companies
14 February 2012
Nearly 3,400 letters from companies, consumer organizations, airports, and American politicians have been sent to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to support the application for antitrust immunity filed by American Airlines and its partners in the oneworld alliance, British Airways, Iberia, Finnair and Royal Jordanian. From anywhere in the USA the public has expressed their support by asking the DOT to grant transatlantic oneworld airlines the right to compete on equal alliances SkyTeam and Star, which have antitrust immunity for several years. The antitrust immunity would allow oneworld airlines to leverage the benefits of the alliance for consumers with an increased access with more attractive prices, easier connections and more benefits for frequent travellers.
