Qatar Airways has been selected as a member of the International Air Transport Association’s Environment Committee (ENCOM). Qatar Airways IATA Environment Committee will make the airline sit together with a select group of international airlines to suggest applicable IATA bodies on environmental issues and act with other members as an important point within IATA on environmental issues. IATA also has a membership base of 230 airlines from 120 countries, representing 93 per cent of the world’s scheduled air traffic.
