Virgin Blue flights to Port Hedland

As from 4th August 2009, Virgin Blue launches new flights from Perth to Port Hedland. The decision of starting the new route to Port Hedland follows enthusiastic campaigning by the local council for Virgin Blue to bring its cheap flights fares and Virgin Blue style of service to the community of Port Hedland. Virgin Blue will operate a daily flights service between Perth and Port Hedland using the modern executive style EMBRAER Jet aircraft. The introduction of Virgin Blue flights to Port Hedland is expected to bring some much needed competitive relief in air fares and thus provide cheap flights. Virgin Blue will offer connecting flights between Port Hedland, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The special cheap flights fares are on sale until midnight 5th July 2009 for travel between 4th August 2009 and 10th December 2009.
